What's even better than a white Christmas?

... An Apple-Christmas! And i'm certainly not talking about hot cider and apple pie... I'm much more thinking of two slim, elegant, glamorous, making-life-so-much-easier, must have devices. Literally speaking the 4s and the iPad2. And yes I'm an extraordinarily lucky young woman with excessively generous grandparents (as you may have noticed- I turned 18 a couple of days ago and therefore I'm now a grown-up). And by the way - even though christmas was very much influenced by Steve Jobs' legacy and Siri - it was very much white too. (; And I'm definately going to upload some snow-mountain-bluesky-winterwonderland-pictures (taken with my new camera). However, I'm off to my boyfriends parents house to celebrate christmas --- again! Happy Holidays!

He might he might he might have made my week

How much fun life can be: Milow, Band, Friday night, Zürich, lots of singing People and us!

While I'm at it I want to make a couple of quick statements about last friday night's center of attention:

1. On CD his voice is amazing. On stage his voice is something in between angels singing, snowflakes falling gently down to earth, a warm heart and a cristal clear sky with lots of stars. (absolutely breathtaking and not possible to describe in any way)

2. He has an extremely good sense of humor - not cheap humor, not black humor but very intelligent humor [like]

3. He thinks the same of  Lady Gaga as I do (creepy creepy person!)

4. His lyrics are pure poetry

5. He's from Belgium and listening to his music makes me feel a lot closer to my sister

6. He wrote 'our' song

7. I can picture myself still listening to his music in 30(!) years from now

8. There are songs I can listen to after getting up in the morning, before going to sleep at night, while studying math(!), in the car, in the kitchen, infront of the fireplace, while walking the dog, when I'm sad, when I'm excessively happy, when I'm in love and also when I just sit and listen, just like that.

9. I can imagine him beeing a fun person to hang out for an evening with lots of friends and good red wine.

10. Last but not least, you can sing his songs without beeing an amazing singer (at least when you're taking a shower or you're in the car) and it's lots of fun.

There's something about this picture that really draws my eye to it. It might be the way she sings or the way the three of them look like a little happy bunch of friends. I couldn't tell why, but I can't stop looking at it.

On that note: Thank you, Milow - Hope to hear you soon!

2 seconds of Fame

My bestfriend and I made it into a musicvideo. 2 seconds of fame ;)

Fashion Victim

Friday morning I walked into my german class and sat down. While doing so, I took a quick look at the blackboard and I do have to say that I was extremely surprised to read 'Patrizia Pepe' since my teacher prefers to wear old no-name jeans and worn out t-shirts (no offense).
Turns out that when I took another look at the blackboard he didn't write 'Patrizia Pepe' but 'Patrizier' and 'Plebejer' which is German for some ancient rich and poor people (or something like that). It's definately not the name of one of my favourite designer's anyway...

Now that's what it's like being a fashion victim...

In case you may be wondering who Patrizia Pepe might be (shame on you!)
This is Patrizia:

And while we're at it: Patrizia's also the person responsible for me not freezing to death this winter... but that's another story (involving a lot of luck and the kind of coat I usually wouldn't be able to afford)

Going for a walk with Flori, Ralph & Milow

On wednesday I really needed a break from my school work. So I took the dog for a walk even though outside it was cold and foggy. It ended up being a pretty cool afternoon anyway - thanks to Milow's inspiring voice in my ears and my very favorite (and only) flat shoes by Polo Ralph Lauren. I took some pictures too:

This is how foggy it was

she'd like to say 'hi'

Why I miss you so much:

  • beause we can't fight and fall into eachothers arms after
  • because I can't see the sparkle in your eyes, everytime you take a good picture
  • because I can't wear your clothes
  • because I can always use the Töffli without any disucussions
  • because I can't hear you practice your thin whistle
  • because nobody puts their clothes all over the livingroom
  • because nobody laughs when my boyfriend and I fight over a game of Ligretto
  • because there's no loud music coming out of your room, keeping me from studying
  • because I can't wake you up on sunday mornings
  • because there's nobody I can walk to school with while debating wether it's going to be a good or a bad day
  • because you're not there to have coffee after school
  • because I hate not hearing your voice
  • because the bathroom looks empty without your dirty underwear on the floor
  • because life without the sister just sucks
  • because you are my bestfriend too
  • because the only one who always listens and understands is you
  • because there are so many things I want to talk to you about
  • because I can't mess up your hair at school
  • because I just can't laugh as hard as I can with you
  • because without you there's more than something that's missing
  • because just nobody's able to replace you
  • because at least 3 times a day knowing that you're not here hurts so much that I have to take a deep, deep breath
  • because I miss the faces you make
  • because home without you is not home
  • because I really want to go shopping with you
  • because I wanna do a girls movies champain night
  • because I have to use facebook to talk to you
  • because I don't even know the place you're at
  • because I'd love to share my life with you
  • because sometimes I'd like to ask you which shoes I should wear
  • because sometimes I just feel like holding you in my arms and never letting you go again
  • because I just really really wish you were here
  • because I can't keep on writing without starting to cry
  • because there's so much more

I miss you!

The dog in the window

I was just going through some pictures I took a year ago, when I came across this. I remember the day I took it. A foggy october day, we were spending some quality family time in Winterthur, had coffee in an adorable coffeeshop and got some random things at the flea market. It was a good day to take some good pictures.

3 things that would make my winter a perfect one

a warm, knitted Tommy Hilfiger  sweater

Bally boots for long walks in the snow

a Tommy Hilfiger coat where you can actually wear a sweater underneath without looking pregnant (:

Orange - Red - Purple

November's grey. The streets, the sky, the trees, the buildings, the fog, the mood, everything grey. colourless. In grey times, I feel like I have to put some contrast out there. Something to look at and smile (just because you are still able to). Something like coloring your nails in three different bright shades. Orange, red & purple.

And guess what. It does make you happy to look at your colourful nails instead of the grey blackboard or out of the window at grey buildings and grey skies.

Chai Latte Moments

Sooner

I always feel like I want to write a book about the rough parts of my life and call it sooner or later. But I know I won't do it beause, first of all, I don't really want to talk about the shitty part of my life, I prefer to be quiet about it and wait until (sooner or later) better times come up. And second, I'm not the person who sits down and writes pages and pages and more pages about herself and all. So here's what I decided:

1. It's going to be a blog, not a book. that way I'm more flexible

2. It's going to be more about things on my mind and things I think are so cool that you really shouldn't live without knowing about them instead of an egoistic self pitying blog.

Nevertheless. Be prepared. Because sooner or later...
